baby cria

My friend Carla's alpaca finally had her cria. Today I went by to see just how adorable he is and well the pics confirm a cuteness factor of 10. He was a large guy weighing in at 21lbs. and the past few days hes put on a whopping 5lbs. Looks like mom is feeding him well. He is super curious and super sweet. He even gives his human mom a little sugar.
Im hopeing to get some better pictures over the coming weeks. He just hopped and ran about making picture taking next to impossible. SOmehow I managed to get a few cute ones.

Blue Storm

Storm really is magnificent. I was really hoping to show him but you cannot show dairy goats if they have horns and boy does he have them. In these pictures you cannot tell but trust me they are very wide at the base and big.
Hopefully he will throw me some good quality show goats. Im already deciding who gets to spend the month with him when hes ready.

Quattro Kid

Quattro kidded yesterday with this cute little wether.
Q is a quiet and sweet doe. I knew when she was so vocal something was up.
Within the hour she gave birth to this little boy. He has blue eyes...
This was the easiest goat birth I have ever seen.

Whoa new baby goats were just born. They were still damp when I found them. MOM did a great job all by herself. The doeling will move to PrairieWood Ranch when she is weaned and Story will be moving to a new home as well. What a nice suprise today was

Spring

SOLD

Yesterday was the first day of spring and with that came new baby goats. Bootsie had 2 flashy boys. One Black and White with blue eyes and one white and tan with gold eyes .

They are both leggy, long and very angular. This is Bootsies second kidding.

Soon Bootsie will be moving to PrairieWood Ranch. It will be sad to say goodbye to my good goat friend but she is going to a wonderful home. I know PrairieWood will love her as much as I do.

Iris

Iris is from Colorado. She is extremely curious and loves treats. She is one of the few
Cashgoras I purchased this year who thinks humans might be ok. Shes figured out that
a yummy snack and a scratch on the head is something she really loves.
I have 2 more Cashmere/Angora crosses. Ruby is red and Lily is white. Lily and Ruby are sisters. I have them up on my Goats for sale post. If your interested drop me an email.

Ruby

Ruby and Zia in back
Ruby Is really a beautiful Cashgora . I love her color. She was born on 3/21/07 and is out of a red and white pinto doe Klizza (Navajo for goat) Her grandmother is Angel, a white doe out of a Black Cashgora doe, She has lots of color in her background.

Lily

Lily is really a beauty. SHe has the most amazing soft curls. She looks a little washed out and gray here because she loves to roll in an old charcoal pit she found. When she's clean her fleece is as white as snow.

Prairiewood Bella

Prairiewood Bella is out of of Kaapio Acres BT Racketeer *S
and MK Blanca.
Bella was the goat that started the Flying Goat Ranch.

Prairiewood Huckleberry

Heres Huck my prized Buck. I got Huck from Lora Kniffen when he was just 3 days old.
Bottle fed and given lots of love he has been such a joy to have here at the fLYING gOAT.
Huck is out of Lost Valley Orion and Prairiewood Player.

black and white

Bella Loves on buck#3. Hes quite the pistol this guy.

Lil sister up front who was born last. I love all the white she displays.

And of course Buck #1 in the back. Hes very shy compared to his brother who pushes to be first in the photo.
I think this is the best looking bunch of goats born at the farm this year. I plan on keeping the doe. Both boys are up for sale. Buck #2 looks amazing. He is very much like his daddy who is also a showoff.

Kids at Play

I managed to capture the baby doe and buck #2 at play. The littlest Buck missed all the fun as he was snoozled up with mama.

kidding time

Bootsie gave birth to this precious little boy first. He looks just like his daddy except for the frosted ears and stripe across his nose. He was the tiniest of the three. This is the first of the Flying Goat's born here at the ranch. Thanks to Prairiewood Buckshot who sired these cuties. Buckshot was owned by Deanna Baca Of Cornerstone Farm . Each baby was unique in color. Bootsie gave birth to this little buckskin boy, then a tri-color girl and last but not least a black and white boy. They are so affectionate and sweet. Click on the picture for a closeup of mamma and baby. They are all doing beautifully considering she was 6 days early.

Language of Love

J.C. speaks many languages. Timber our dog responds to his made up, make-believe , nonsense words. While I'm not quite sure what Whoozaama or Rrrrrrrooot means, Timber knows exactly what is expected when the words are uttered. When JC wants to interact with MoJo our bird it is done through his knowledge of music. While playing the bass J.C. can get Mojo to dance and squeak to the beat. I haven't quite figured out how he has managed to chat it up with my favorite caprines as of yet but I think he may secretly carry peanuts in his pockets. Either way the goats love him just as much as all the other creatures that live here at the FLYING GOAT RANCH. Even us human girlies cant help but love this man who speaks the language of LOVE.

Bella and Ripcord

Our little Ripcord is really trying to show the goats whose the big bad buck in buck town. He has even taken on Bella our Doe who is queen bee. I think hes doing a smashing job for 2 months old.

SnuggleBuck's

Heres Hucky, taking a snuggle with his favorite peep. Huck loves J.C. He will see him from across the corral and come running so fast and leap into his arms. Huck is the sweetest snugglebuck in ther herd. Heres the picture to prove it

RIPCORD

Heres our newest addition to the herd RIPCORD. He is such a sweetie and we are looking forward to seeing some little rippers from him in the future.

Huck and Ripcord

I snuck out to the barn to check up on the boys. Little Huck was snoozled up in the grain bin on the milking stand and Ripcord was nestled in this exact spot on the stand. I never knew how much I would enjoy having stinky bucks but they are the biggest Loves.
Im glad the Flying Goat Ranch took the leap and added these 2 boys to our herd. They have been a total joy to have . Thanks Prairiewood Ranch WE absolutely love these guys.
